Join to apply for the Flight Paramedic role at Air Evac Lifeteam

We are hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts, safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities and scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care are key pillars of our service. You will work on a professional team committed to high safety standards for both crew and customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the required timeframe.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is transferred to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
• Keep documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and procedures up to date.
• Use and maintain all equipment and supplies properly.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
• Participate as a medical flight team member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and debriefings, completing all necessary documentation.
• Assist with pre-mission checklists and pilot support, including radio and navigational activities.
• Follow safety standards to ensure safety of all involved prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Fill open shifts within your area as directed by the Regional Director.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of experience in a 911 or critical care setting.

Preferred Education and Certifications

• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certifications required before flight status.
• Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred; required within 24 months of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required depending on the area.
