Job summary

DO & CO AG in New York seeks a Transportation Supervisor to lead flight-time logistics, supervising drivers, dispatchers, dock staff, and equipment. You will manage employee schedules, monitor flights in real time, ensure safety compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-security environment around airports.

The role demands hands-on leadership, decisiveness under pressure, excellent communication, and the ability to resolve issues on the ramp while maintaining service

Qualifications

• Three years of transportation, dispatch, logistics, or operations leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Operations Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and experience supervising large teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation, dispatch, dock, ramp, and logistics activities to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time flight service.
• Monitor active flights and real-time operations, identify at-risk departures, and initiate corrective action.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, guides, and airline reps to maintain service quality and schedules.
• Lead shift briefings and communicate priorities; supervise during peak periods.
• Plan, publish, and adjust employee schedules based on flight demand.
• Monitor hours, overtime, and staffing; reduce overtime where possible.
• Ensure vehicles are inspected, fueled, and roadworthy before operations begin.
• Maintain records of vehicle usage, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Resolve system errors during live operations and escalate as needed.
