Job summary

AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Flight Operations Manager to lead flight testing of avionics systems. You will actively fly test aircraft, develop flight plans, and provide pilot feedback to engineering teams in real-world conditions.

This role combines hands-on flight operations with program leadership, working with FAA, certification teams, and cross-functional engineers to ensure safety, compliance, and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Active CPL with Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine Rating.
• Current FAA Class I or Class II Medical Certificate.
• 1,000+ total flight hours in General Aviation.
• Experience operating advanced avionics systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field required.
• CFI preferred; Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary flight test pilot and evaluate avionics in test aircraft.
• Plan and conduct flight test missions validating functionality and integration.
• Develop FAA-compliant flight test plans and execute programs.
• Generate flight test reports and maintain documentation.
• Provide pilot feedback to engineering to improve design and usability.
• Oversee maintenance and readiness of flight test aircraft under safety standards.
