Job summary

PHI Health in Rushville, IN seeks an experienced Flight Nurse to provide safe, rapid critical care transport for patients across rotor-wing, fixed-wing, and ground units. You will work under the Base Medical Supervisor and Medical Director guidance, maintaining certifications and completing PHI orientation.

Requires active RN license in Indiana, 3–5 years of critical care or emergency nursing, current BLS/ACLS/PALS and flight-transport credentials; sign-on bonus up to $15,000 offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana.
• Minimum of 3 years, 5 preferred, in critical care or emergency nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNATC, TNCC, ITLS or PHTLS; NRP preferred.
• CFRN within 24 months of hire.
• Flight/transport experience preferred.
• Complete PHI Air Medical Group orientation program.
• Pass pre-placement physical including lift up to 100 pounds and drug screen.
• Maintain flight weight and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive care to critically ill/injured patients in pre-hospital and transport settings.
• Perform complex assessments, therapies and emergency treatments for rotor-wing, fixed-wing or ground transports.
• Document accurate information for assessment, treatment, and billing.
• Communicate effectively with management, internal and external customers.
• Maintain knowledge through meetings, labs, rotations and continuing education.
• Complete annual recurrent competency requirements.
