Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Flight Nurse to deliver high-level critical care during patient transport by helicopter. The role combines assessment, triage and treatment under pressure, working alongside a Flight Paramedic to ensure safety and efficacy in confined aircraft spaces.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing program credential, RN licensure, and ER/ICU experience, with required aviation-related certifications pursued within set timelines.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice; compact licensure if applicable.
• EMS/flight nurse prerequisites and certifications as listed in job description.
• Three years ER or Critical Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality critical care during patient transport by helicopter.
• Assess, triage and treat patients in stressful environments.
• Administer medications and provide advanced life support as needed.
