Job summary

Guardian Flight is hiring a Flight Nurse to join a team of air transportation specialists. The role focuses on safe patient transport to and from facilities and scene calls, with a strong emphasis on safety and high-quality care.

The position offers a starting range of $86,000–$88,000 annually, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments after training. Schedule is 10 days on, 20 days off, with company-paid crew housing on shift.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN.
  • Current RN license in states served by the assigned area.
  • EMT and Trauma certifications required where applicable.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required prior to flight; CFRN within 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Assess situations to determine best course of action for critical care patients.
  • Manage critically ill or injured adults and children per physician orders.
  • Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and perform equipment checks.
  • Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews and facilities.
  • Share shift change information and maintain proper documentation and records.
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the role.

FLIGHT NURSE INCENTIVES

We’re hiring aFlight Nurseto work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
  • Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
  • Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
  • Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumQualifications
  • Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
  • Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
  • EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
  • Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior flight experience
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
