Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation is hiring a Flight Nurse to join a team of air transportation experts, transporting patients to facilities and responding to scene calls. You will work in a high-safety, professional environment with a strong emphasis on patient care and crew welfare.

The role requires three years in Emergency or Adult Critical Care, current RN license, EMT/Trauma certs, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and CFRN within 24 months. Two 24-hour shifts per week with company-paid crew housing are offered.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN.
• Current RN license in states served by the area.
• EMT and Trauma certifications as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required before flight status; NRP provided during training.
• CFRN must be obtained within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine best action for critical care patients.
• Manage care for critically ill or injured adults and children per physician orders.
• Maintain a safe, well-stocked aircraft environment and comply with safety standards.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews and facilities.
• Document shifts and handoffs; ensure records meet company and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the role.

• Starting Range is $28.66-$49.63 per hour, Dependent on Experience


• $18,000 Annual Area Stipend


• Schedule requires two 24-hour shifts per week

We’re hiring aFlight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.


• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.


• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.


• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.


• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.


• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.


• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.


• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.


• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).


• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior flight experience


• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
