Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Macon County, IL is hiring a Flight Nurse to transport patients to and from facilities and support on-scene calls. You will work with a professional team, uphold high safety standards, and ensure quality patient care during air medical missions.

The role requires emergency/critical care RN experience, active state licensure, and certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP) with CFRN within 24 months of hire, plus EMT/Trauma certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Three years of Emergency or Adult Critical Care RN experience.
• Current RN license in states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required; CFRN certification within 24 months of hire.
• EMT and Trauma certifications as required by state(s).

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best action for patient care in critical conditions.
• Monitor and treat patients and support physician orders during transport.
• Maintain safe aircraft environment and conduct base/equipment checks.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews and facilities.
• Transmit shift-change information and keep regulatory documentation accurate.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the role.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Flight Nurse Opportunity in MACON COUNTY, IL

• Starting pay at $28.66 hourly + DOE
• $5.00 Hourly Area Stipend Modification.

We’re hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumQualifications:

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
