Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Jackson, TN is seeking a Flight Nurse to join a team of air transportation experts. The role focuses on safely transporting patients to and from facilities and handling scene calls, with emphasis on high safety standards and professional teamwork.

The position requires 3+ years in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN, an active RN license for the service area, and CFRN within 24 months of hire, plus EMT/trauma certifications and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintain regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

• Starting pay at $28.66 hourly + DOE
• $5.00 Hourly Area Stipend Modification.

We’re hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.
