Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam is hiring a Flight Nurse in Decatur, IL. The role involves transporting patients to and from medical facilities and scene calls, ensuring high safety standards and professional teamwork with air and ground crews.

The candidate must have an Emergency/Adult Critical Care RN background, an active RN license for the applicable states, and required BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications with CFRN due within 24 months. Prior flight experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Use critical thinking to manage the critically ill or injured, and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean aircraft environment and ensure equipment and base checks meet safety standards.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and follow protocols to maintain documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
• Be punctual, reliable, professional, and meet elevated safety and service standards.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Flight Nurse Opportunity in MACON COUNTY, IL

• Starting pay at $28.66 hourly + DOE
• $5.00 Hourly Area Stipend Modification.

We’re hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumQualifications
