Job summary

AEVEX Aerospace is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic/Crew Chief to perform ground and flight operations, maintenance, and records management on unmanned aircraft systems in a training and flight test environment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to military/commercial aviation practices.

You will work with a deployed team on a five-day onsite schedule, supporting a flight test program. Required qualifications include 8+ years in flight line or UAS maintenance, FAA A&P (IA

Qualifications

• 8+ years Flight Line or UAS maintenance and flight operations experience (preferably deployed)
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and/or Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred
• Current Class III medical certificate or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Ability to deploy to CENTCOM AOR

Responsibilities

• Perform flight line and site maintenance on an unmanned light-sport aircraft in a training environment
• Ensure daily ground servicing to certify airworthiness of the aircraft and systems
• Conduct scheduled inspections and follow-up maintenance actions
• Maintain maintenance and configuration logs (digital and paper)
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using a multimeter and test equipment
• Inspect structures and laminates for defects and repair as required
• Provide QA and procedure verification reviews on maintenance manuals
• Support logistics and quality assurance for maintenance actions
• Work with deployed team to meet daily maintenance and flight operation objectives
• Utilize maintenance software for documentation and flight operations support
• Perform other duties as required
