Pilot Rise, LLC seeks flight instructors to deliver safe, structured flight and ground instruction at Dallas-area airports. Instructors prepare thoroughly for each lesson, maintain detailed training records, and communicate clearly with students and the team to develop capable pilots.
The role requires a CFI path with 300+ flight hours and excellent communication skills, plus willingness to learn Pilot Rise standards.
Current status: Not currently hiring; applications are accepted for future openings
Pilot Rise flight instructors provide safe, structured flight and ground instruction, prepare for each lesson, maintain accurate training records, and communicate clearly with students and the rest of the team. The goal is to develop capable pilots—not simply help students pass a checkride.
Schedules follow student demand, weather, and aircraft availability and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position includes instruction in Cessna 150 aircraft. Under current loading assumptions, instructors assigned to that aircraft generally must be at or below approximately 185 lbs so a typical student lesson remains within weight-and-balance limitations.
If you hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate but are not a CFI yet, you may still apply. Current instructors who want to add their CFI-I are welcome to apply too.
Pilot Rise prefers to hire instructors we have trained as CFIs. Training together gives us the opportunity to see how you teach, communicate, accept feedback, and apply Pilot Rise standards before a position opens.
We also offer pre-employment training and preparation for instructors seeking their first position or strengthening their application—even if they plan to work for another flight school.
Plan for approximately 25-40 minutes. Have your certificate and medical information, logbook totals, personal minimums, student checkride results, and a PDF resume ready. You may also attach an optional PDF containing a cover letter and/or references.
This online form is the only instructor application channel considered by Pilot Rise. Please do not contact us directly about this position. You will receive a confirmation email after submitting, and our team will contact you if an opening or training path may be a fit.
