Job summary

Life Flight Network is seeking a Flight Nurse in Aurora, OR to deliver advanced critical care in collaboration with a Flight Paramedic. This role is a .90 FTE, requires substantial ICU/Trauma experience and appropriate licensure, with responsibilities including direct patient care, documentation, and equipment management.

The position includes duties across aged patient groups and both fixed-wing and ambulance calls, with safety-focused operations and opportunities within a nonprofit

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years ICU/ED/Trauma experience within the last ten (10) years.
• Flight experience preferred; may substitute year-for-year for ICU/ED/Trauma requirement.
• RN license valid for assigned location; BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• TPATC certification; CFRN exam within 1 year and certification within 2 years of hire.
• CEN or CCRN preferred until CFRN is obtained.
• Valid driver's license with at least three years driving experience.
• Airport badge maintenance; Canada entry may be required depending on location.
• Weight limit: up to 250 pounds fully outfitted.
• Strong leadership; communicate well in stressful situations.
• Able to work varied shifts and cover fixed wing or ambulance calls.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Flight Paramedic to provide age-appropriate patient care (Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric).
• Document patient care accurately and completely per LFN standards.
• Provide follow-up to referring hospitals or agencies.
• Assist with equipment retrieval and return to appropriate agencies.
• Restock and prepare equipment to place aircraft back in service promptly.
• Maintain inventories and monthly checks; order supplies.
• Support day-to-day operations of Life Flight Network.
• May compile data or work on related projects for the Director of Clinical Operations.
