Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Flight Hardware Assembly Technician to perform mechanical and final assembly of aerospace subassemblies to engineering specs. You will interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions to plan each build, using hand and power tools to install fasteners and verify fit and function.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of mechanical assembly experience; aerospace experience preferred.
  • Proficiency reading blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and inspection methods.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Complete mechanical and final assembly of aerospace subassemblies and finished units to engineering specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications to plan each build.
  • Assemble small parts using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and precision measuring devices.
  • Install mechanical fasteners including screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, clips, and bushings.
  • Confirm proper fit, alignment, and functional performance of completed assemblies.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to meet stringent quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and escalate nonconforming materials, parts, or assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records and travelers.
  • Follow safety procedures and comply with company quality requirements at all times.
  • Keep the workstation clean and organized in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve assembly challenges.
  • Achieve daily output goals while delivering exceptional workmanship.

Flight Hardware Assembly TechnicianA day in the lifeYou start your shift by reviewing the latest work instructions and assembly drawings, confirming torque settings, and organizing your bench to 5S standards. With calibrated hand and power tools at the ready, you assemble precision aerospace components, install hardware like screws, nuts, bolts, rivets, clips, and bushings, and verify fit, alignment, and function at every step. Throughout the build, you perform visual and dimensional checks, document results, and immediately flag any nonconforming materials or parts.
