Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Principal Flight Software Engineer to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. The role focuses on designing, developing, and testing flight software for embedded real-time systems, working with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with extensive embedded C/C++ experience, Python proficiency, and experience with Linux. Secret clearance is required; relocation and travel may be involved.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of software/engineering experience; Master's 3+ years; Ph.D. 1+ year.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Strong background in embedded C/C++ development with OO and thread-safe programming.
• Strong background in integrating and troubleshooting embedded software in a lab environment.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience writing driver-level software for serial or networking applications (UART, TCP, UDP).
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• Experience in Agile software development using Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence) and Git.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify/test flight software for embedded/real-time systems.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and I&T within an Agile environment.
• Understand system requirements and implement/debug software to meet criteria.
