Job summary

Horizon Air seeks a qualified Flight Dispatcher to manage preflight planning, release and flight following for our fleet. This role is union-represented and requires FAA certification, strong weather and FAR knowledge, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You must be able to communicate in English and be authorized to work in the U.S.

The position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and compliance, with starting pay of USD 25.39 per hour plus total rewards as listed by the company.

Qualifications

• Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher's Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of applicable FARs and weather.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Must communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 23; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch Horizon Air aircraft under 14 CFR Part 121.
• Plan each flight departure with safety and efficiency.
• Monitor NOTAMs, weather, and airport conditions.
• Communicate meteorology, MELs, NOTAMs to crews.
• Brief crews on fuel, loads, and routings.
• Monitor dispatch systems for data accuracy.
• Other duties as assigned.
