Job summary

Rocket Air Flight Academy in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Flight School Dispatch Manager to lead Dispatch, Customer Service, and Line Service teams, coordinating daily flight training operations and ensuring safe, compliant scheduling.

You will manage staffing, training, weather monitoring, and records, uphold FAA Part 141/61 policies, and drive a safety-first culture while delivering an exceptional experience for students and instructors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business, or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of aviation experience.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Proficient in MS Office and Flight Schedule Pro.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Dispatch, Customer Service, and Line Service operations to support flight training.
• Support Flight Operations Manager in policy execution and objectives.
• Coordinate between Dispatch, Maintenance, and Fleet Management for maintenance and schedule changes.
• Oversee daily/weekly/monthly flight schedules, maximizing utilization.
• Enforce scheduling practices and FAA compliance across operations.
• Oversee student and instructor support at Dispatch and resolve issues.
• Ensure staffing and coverage to meet operational demand.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training for Dispatch personnel.
• Maintain Dispatch Manual and update policies as needed.
• Promote safety-first operating culture in all Dispatch activities.
• Monitor weather and communicate conditions affecting operations.
• Maintain flight logs and operational documentation.
