Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Aurora, CO seeks a Flight Nurse to provide direct patient care during air and ground critical care transport.

The role is on-site with a flex shift, full-time schedule. Applicants must hold Colorado RN license (or multi-state), CFRN, and critical care experience with BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications. Expect fast-paced environments and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Colorado RN license or multi-state compact at hire; multi-state license within six months.
• Flight Nurse Certification CFRN and valid driver's license.
• Minimum 3 years ICU/ED experience; preferred flight/CCT/EMS; instructor certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/TPATC/TNCC/ATCN).
• BLS/CPR certification valid through hire period.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care during all phases of transport from initial contact to handoff at receiving facility.
• Documents assessments, interventions and responses; participates in pre/post transport briefings.
• Ensures equipment is functioning; completes vehicle and equipment checklists.
• Collaborates across disciplines; provides safety, education and outreach to facilities and EMS.
• Exhibits critical thinking and decisive action in fast-paced environments.
