Job summary

Avelo Airlines is seeking a Flight Crew Support Supervisor in Houston, TX to oversee a team of Flight Crew Support Specialists, build and maintain crew schedules, and ensure compliance with FAR Parts 117 and 121. You will provide coaching, monitor training progress (OE, CKS, Line Checks), and coordinate with dispatch and operations to minimize disruptions.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, leadership experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in airline operations or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR Parts 117 and 121 regulations, including FDPs, rest requirements, and fatigue risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities of a team of Flight Crew Support Specialists.
• Build and maintain schedules for Flight Crew Support Leads and Specialists.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to develop the team.
• Ensure schedules comply with FAR Parts 117/121 and company policies.
• Analyze flight operations and crew duty times to ensure rest requirements.
• Monitor pilots’ progress through OE, CKS, and Line Checks; assign crews accordingly.
• Address schedule changes due to weather, maintenance, or absences.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and operations to ensure smooth flights.
• Lead daily morning crew staffing meetings and report scheduling issues.
• Monitor scheduling software for efficient crew assignments and records.
