Job summary

The Boeing Company in North Charleston, South Carolina is seeking an Associate Flight Controls Mechanical Hydraulics Design & Analysis Engineer to join the 787 Flight Controls Mechanical Hydraulics Engineering team.

You will design, analyze, test and certify flight control and mechanical hydraulic systems for the 787 family, developing requirements, participating in verification activities, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable aircraft systems.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Aerospace/Materials).
• 2+ years related work experience in engineering.
• 2+ years of professional engineering experience.
• 1+ years of experience with Mechanical Systems.

Responsibilities

• Resolves airplane level requirements into system level requirements with validation methods.
• Participates in system, component and detail design with documentation.
• Conducts system and component validation analysis and testing, plan creation, and reporting.
• Engages in certification efforts and creates required artifacts (FMEA, etc.).
• Supports production and fleet operations; identifies design improvements for build and safety.
• Coordinates cross-functional activities with suppliers, airlines, regulators and teams.
