Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state is seeking engineers to develop and verify inner-loop flight control applications for the New Glenn program. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to model, simulate, verify, and deliver control software for a heavy-lift launch vehicle, enabling safe human spaceflight.

The role emphasizes rigorous state estimation, modeling, and real-time software development with embedded C/C++ in a demanding aerospace environment, including flight operations support

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals in aerospace/mechanical systems.
• Experience with Kalman filters, LQR/LQG and state estimation.

Responsibilities

• Model-based design and control software development for multiple simultaneous New Glenn configurations.
• Collaborate across New Glenn Autonomy with fluids, systems engineering, software integration, avionics and vehicle operation teams.
• Conduct Monte Carlo simulations and covariance analysis for system performance characterization.
• Support Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing.
• Deliver software for vehicle testing and flight; support bench tests and flight operations.

Education

BS in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering with 5+ years real project experience
