• Support requirements reviews and assess clarity, completeness, and testability.
• Support integration laboratories, test benches, and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Prepare test environments, configurations, equipment, and input data.
• Execute testing activities including bench, ground, and flight testing; document results.

Our aerospace teams contribute to cutting-edge aircraft programs by providing expertise in systems engineering, flight control systems, verification and validation, aircraft integration, and flight testing.

You'll work directly within customer programs, supporting aircraft development, integration laboratories, ground testing, and flight test campaigns across North America.

Role Overview

SII Group is seeking a Flight Control Systems Verification & Validation Engineer to support aircraft development programs for one of our aerospace customers.

You will contribute to the verification, validation, integration, and testing of complex flight control and fly-by-wire systems, ensuring compliance with system requirements, performance objectives, and aircraft safety expectations.

This role requires close collaboration with flight control system engineers, software and hardware teams, aircraft integration teams, test engineers, and flight test personnel. You will help define verification strategies, develop test procedures, execute system-level testing, and investigate technical anomalies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system-level verification and validation plans, test plans, test procedures, and test reports
• Define verification strategies and methods for flight control system requirements
• Establish and maintain traceability between system requirements, test procedures, and test results
• Verify the functional behavior, performance, robustness, and safety-related characteristics of flight control systems
• Support requirements reviews and assess requirements for clarity, completeness, and testability

System Integration

• Support the integration of flight control systems within aircraft-level architectures
• Collaborate with flight control, actuator, sensor, avionics, software, hardware, and aircraft integration teams
• Support aircraft integration laboratories, system test benches, and hardware-in-the-loop environments
• Verify interfaces between flight control computers, actuators, sensors, cockpit controls, and connected aircraft systems

Test Development and Execution

• Define test strategies, scenarios, acceptance criteria, and verification methods
• Develop and review test procedures and verification documentation
• Prepare test environments, configurations, equipment, and input data
• Execute and support testing activities, including:
• Bench testing
• Aircraft integration laboratory testing
• Iron bird testing
• Ground testing
• Flight testing
• Document test results and ensure proper closure of verification activities

Flight Test Support

• Support the preparation and execution of flight test campaigns related to flight control systems
