Job summary

Inversion in Playa Vista, CA is seeking an Electrical Test and Assembly Technician II to install, integrate, test, and troubleshoot flight avionics hardware on the Arc hypersonic reentry vehicle. The role supports hardware-in-the-loop campaigns and works with engineers, manufacturing, and vehicle teams.

This hands-on position requires strong electrical craftsmanship, discipline, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., with in-office work and potential non-standard shifts. U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of hands-on avionics integration, electrical assembly, or related high-reliability environment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Experience with wire prep, crimping, pinning, and basic harness fabrication or repair.
• Experience using electrical test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate faults in hardware and power systems.
• Familiarity with ESD controls and controlled build environments.
• Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and safe work habits.
• Ability to work independently from released procedures while escalating issues promptly.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret/Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, test, and troubleshoot flight avionics hardware on Arc reentry vehicle.
• Execute detailed build and test procedures and support HIL and vehicle integration campaigns.
• Collaborate with avionics engineers, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to safety and quality standards.
