Job summary

Barrios Technology, a Houston-based aerospace engineering partner, is seeking an Avionics Technician to support assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics for spaceflight and ground support systems.

The role involves wiring harness fabrication, PCBs, and hardware in collaboration with engineering teams, with emphasis on documentation and workmanship standards. Candidates should have related education or 3+ years of experience and IPC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical/electronics.
• Experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting avionics hardware.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics.
• IPC J-STD-001 experience or IPC certification preferred.
• Experience with standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ohmmeters).

Responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate electrical harnesses, PCBs, and avionics hardware per docs.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain avionics hardware.
• Support harness fabrication, conformal coating, inspection, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on design, development, and integration.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
