Job summary

Resource Label Group, a full-service label design and printing manufacturer serving diverse industries, seeks an entry-level Press Trainee for on-site training. You will assist in setting up and operating printing presses handling multiple materials with UV and water-based inks across 7"–17" presses with up to 10 color stations.

You will learn to interpret orders, identify materials, and load and align substrates, while maintaining quality and accuracy throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year flexographic printing press experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read rulers and measurement scales.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to interpret job orders.
• Learn how to identify proper materials being used.
• Learn how to produce labels for packaging.
• Ensure press area is ready for the job.
• Assist in loading raw material onto the butt splicer for continuous run.
• Assist in changing matrix and waste rolls.
• Assist in changing printing cylinders and washing ink stations.
• Monitor web quality and identify imperfections.
• Keep work area clean and organized for shift transitions.
• Double check paperwork and labeling accuracy.
