Job summary

Abbott Label is seeking a Press Operator on the Second Shift to produce printed materials using Flexo presses. You will ensure presses are staged with materials and tooling for efficient workflow, run jobs, and assist in quality control within the pressroom.

Responsibilities include operating multiple printing machines, configuring equipment, inspecting samples, and performing routine maintenance. A background with Mark Andy equipment and narrow web printing is preferred; high school diploma

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Mark Andy Printing equipment – A MUST.
• Experience in Narrow Web Printing Industry preferred.
• Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates printing machines as assigned.
• Interprets client print job requests to determine scope and parameters.
• Calculates required print quantities.
• Aligns and configures printing machinery.
• Inspects production samples to ensure print quality.
• Troubleshoots and performs basic repairs on machines.
• Performs routine maintenance on printers.
• Prepares and submits daily production reports.
• Maintains clean work area around presses.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
