Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience or training.
• At least 1 year of flexographic printing press experience preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Read job order and load dies into press; install print cylinder on shaft and in press.
• Fill ink pans, screens and pumps with prescribed inks.
• Start press; adjust speed and stock alignment to print cylinder.
• Engage print cylinders; adjust impression for proper register.
• Cut samples of the approval strip; inspect for defects and adjust as needed.
• Clean plates, cylinders and dies; perform required maintenance.
• Mix inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and maintain housekeeping standards.
