Job summary

Resource Label Group in Cerritos, CA is hiring a Flexo Press Operator to set up and operate the printing press for labels and related products. This Monday–Friday shift from 5:00am to 1:30pm offers onsite training and a chance to learn a skilled trade in the printing industry.

You will load dies, mix inks, adjust impressions, inspect samples for defects, and keep presses clean and maintained. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or related experience) and at least one year of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or related experience and/or training.
• Minimum of one year of flexographic printing press experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Wage Range: $22.00/hour to $26.00/hour.

Responsibilities

• Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft.
• Fills ink pans, screens and pumps with prescribed inks.
• Starts press, adjusting speed and alignment of stock to the print cylinder.
• Engages print cylinders; adjusts printing impression and runs down approval strip.
• Cleans plates, print cylinders and dies; performs routine maintenance as required.
• Mixes inks to produce and maintain desired colors and viscosity.
• Keeps work areas clear and organized; maintains housekeeping standards.
