The Flexographic Press Operator is a key team member responsible for manufacturing printed labels, monitoring label quality, and maintaining press conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines at the plant and corporate levels.
• Report safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping.
• Complete make-ready procedures according to Job Ticket and Product Specifications to ensure correct use of print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers.
• Conduct all required quality checks related to product specifications, including visual and functional assessments, and press-side quality checks.
• Operate presses to produce products according to customer specifications, maintaining quality, minimizing waste, and optimizing press efficiency.
• Ensure consistent quality during production, focusing on copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion, and adhere to all quality standards.
• Follow procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements outlined in the BRC standard.
• Perform press make-ready procedures efficiently.
• Complete all equipment maintenance tasks, including cleaning plates, cylinders, ink pans, and lubricating presses.
• Record material usage and time accurately in the GlobeTeksystem.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience or training as a printing press operator.
• Physical ability to stand, feel, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequent walking required.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
