Randstad USA is hiring for a Flexo Press Operator – Night Shift in the Kansas City area. The role offers a $27.00–$36.00/hour pay range with a $2.00/hour night shift differential and a 12-hour rotating schedule (2-2-3), 5:45 PM–6:00 AM.

Expect built-in overtime on a 49-hour week and an alternating 3-day weekend pattern. Responsibilities include setting up and operating flexographic presses, monitoring color and ink consistency, and troubleshooting to keep runs flowing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating flexographic printing presses (wide or narrow web).
• Mechanical aptitude and proactive troubleshooting skills.
• Reliability and preference for a steady, 12-hour night rotation.

Responsibilities

• Drive Press Excellence: Set up, start up, and operate Wide-Web Flexographic presses with a focus on maximizing run times and minimizing scrap.
• Lead & Mentor: Guide, train, and assist your Press Operator 1 (Assistant) to ensure the team is aligned, breaks are coordinated, and the press keeps rolling.
• Quality Champion: Review work instructions, verify materials, and perform strict roll-to-roll quality checks to match the approved sample perfectly.
• Maintain & Troubleshoot: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and collaborate with the Maintenance team for quick repairs.
• Safety & Environment: Keep a spotless workspace and ensure the safe handling/documentation of inks, solvents, and hazardous waste according to company guidelines.

What You’ll Do

• Own the Press: Set up, operate, and maintain flexo presses to execute clean runs and tight registration.
• Deliver Quality: Monitor print color, specs, and ink consistency to consistently produce top-tier results.
• Keep Things Running: Troubleshoot mechanical adjustments and perform efficient make-readies and changeovers.
