Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Minimum of one year PTA experience preferred
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for neurological injury
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by a Physical Therapist
• Confers with the Physical Therapist regarding plan of treatment and patient progress
• Assists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and treatment areas
• Reports problems with department equipment to ensure proper function
• Communicates patient needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record
• Maintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation in required timelines
• Attends staff development programs and maintains clinical skills
