Job summary

Lovet Pet Health Care is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing animal hospital team. You will assist the doctor with procedures, maintain patient records, and ensure compassionate care for clients and their pets.

You will perform X-ray, blood draw, vaccination, and restraint tasks, while delivering excellent customer service and helping maintain a clean, well-organized clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Compassionate, calm and patient demeanor with animals and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with medical procedures under direct supervision.
• Provide written and verbal communication to clients about pet care and treatments.
• Deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets.
• Manage medical records through practice management software.
• Dispense medication, perform x-rays, blood draws, catheter placement, sample collection, vaccines, and animal restraint as needed.
• Set up, breakdown, and clean and maintain medical equipment.
• Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital.
