Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Utility Worker at Arkansas Tech University. The role supports kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas.

You will clean equipment, transport supplies, and assist with basic setup and breakdown tasks as directed. Responsibilities include washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, mopping floors, restocking supplies, and moving materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using cleaning chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies, such as soap and towels.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods (up to 8+ hours).
• Lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attends work on time and fulfills shifts as scheduled.
• Other duties may be assigned per account needs.
