Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care across units as needed. You will respond to call lights, document care, and keep patient environments clean and organized, while maintaining safety and high standards.

You will float between units, participate in performance improvement efforts, and assist with training new partners under the supervision of the unit educator. CPR/BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as assigned and per routine according to standards and policies.
• Answers call lights promptly.
• Documents care provided according to standards.
• Maintains a clean patient environment.
• Floats to units based on patient care needs.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.
• Trains/precepts new partners with unit educator.
• Assists with vital signs and reports abnormal values to the RN.
• Discontinue invasive devices under the direction of the RN.
