Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for flexible, customizable schedules across our skilled nursing communities. You can choose full-time or part-time hours and travel between Care Initiatives locations within your region to cover open shifts.

We value compassionate care, clinical excellence, and teamwork. An Iowa RN license and CPR certification are required, with at least 12 months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Twelve months of verifiable RN experience.
• Ability to travel between Care Initiatives communities.
• Live within a reasonable driving distance from communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
