Job summary

A swimming education franchise is seeking a Swim Instructor to provide swim instruction based on their curriculum. Responsibilities include teaching water safety, enforcing safety regulations, and evaluating students' swim progress. The ideal candidate will be at least 16 years old, able to work a minimum of two shifts per week, and possess strong communication skills. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while working in an enjoyable environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass background examinations (included with training).
• Must be at least 16 years old or turning 16 years old upon start date.
• Ability to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students on water safety and proper swim techniques.
• Enforces safety rules and regulations.
• Evaluates students' progress and completes skill tracking.
• Interacts with parents/guardians.
• Inspects pool areas before and after each class.
• Reports accidents and incidents to management.

Skills

Ability to work with children

Organizational skills

Education

Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor or coach

CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred
