Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
• Licensing/Certification: A teaching certification or substitute teacher permit may be required.
• Experience: Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred but not always required.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage classroom behavior; flexibility and adaptability; basic understanding of classroom technology.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Instruction: Follow the lesson plan provided by the absent teacher or school administration; deliver instructional content and adapt lessons as needed.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment; enforce rules; address disruptions.
• Student Engagement: Actively engage students in learning activities and provide guidance to understand material.
• Assessments And Feedback: Monitor student progress, administer quizzes/tests, and submit reports.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators; report any issues.
• Safety And Well-being: Ensure safety and follow health/emergency protocols.
