Job summary

Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose Schools is seeking dependable Substitute ESPs to join our Special Education team for the current school year. This on-call substitute role supports students with varied needs across nine district buildings and follows plans created by regular ESPs.

Starting after orientation, the position involves flexible hours, daily start around 7:45–8:50 am and end around 2:20–3:30 pm, with pay at $18.50 per hour (paid twice monthly). Orientation and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Comfortable with and enjoy working with students with special needs.
• Flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings with a variety of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist with communication, physical/motor, personal care, and social/emotional needs.
• Adapt and modify learning environment and materials as needed.
• Follow plans prepared by the ESP and the position they are filling.
• Support with positive behavior intervention strategies.
