Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years of study (72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits) at an institution of higher education or obtained an associate's degree or completed one of the approved paraeducator assessments

Responsibilities

• Instruct students individually or in small groups in a variety of subject areas and learning activities
• Supervise student behavior and assist teachers with classroom management
• Attend to student safety needs and follow safety procedures
• Provide encouragement and support to achieve educational objectives defined by staff
• Assist with collection of data and administration of tests or other measurements
• Prepare or modify materials for student use and enrichment activities
• Work in multiple settings, meet demands, and maintain high quality work
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
• Collaborate with a team and be flexible with supervision on-call assignments

Education

Two years of college credits (72 quarter / 48 semester) or an associate's degree or approved equivalent
