Job summary

Goodwill Education Initiatives, Inc. seeks a SPED Teacher of Record at the Grant County Excel Center. You will plan and provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities aligned to IEPs, integrating with the general curriculum with supports as needed.

The role emphasizes curriculum design, data-driven progress reporting, and collaboration with school leadership to reach graduation outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site position with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education and a current Indiana Teaching Certification in SPED-Mild and/or Intense Intervention.
• Knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards, Common Core, and 21st Century Skills.
• Complies with federal, state, and local mandates governing SPED services.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements curricula and assessments meeting academic standards.
• Maintains accurate student records (IEPs and 504s) and prepares required documentation.
• Monitors IEP implementation and provides progress reports to staff and families.
• Develops transition plans and contributes to graduation outcomes and enrollment goals.
• Supports staff development and creates a high-performance learning culture.
