Job summary

Goodwill Legacy Group is seeking a Special Education teacher at Grant County Excel Center. The role runs with school days 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday instruction and Friday prep flexibility. The salary range is $48–60K with full benefits.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Special Education and Indiana teaching certification, plus familiarity with IEPs, data tracking, and student progress reporting. A strong collaborative, adaptable, and mission-focused approach is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a current Indiana Teaching Certification in Special Education-Mild and/or Intense Intervention.
• Displays knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards, Common Core, and 21st Century Skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements curricula and assessments meeting standards and measures progress.
• Holds case conference committee meetings for measurable goals.
• Maintains compliant student records (IEP/504) as required by law.
• Monitors IEP implementation and provides progress reports to stakeholders.
• Develops transition plans and school-wide goals with leadership.
• Supports staff with professional development and goal setting.
• Assists in recruitment, enrollment, and outreach efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by school leadership.
