Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex (unarmed) in City of Industry, California with a payrate of $19.50 per hour. The role offers flexible shifts via our shift-pickup platform and opportunities to gain site experience across industries including healthcare, education, and finance.

Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident reporting, and assisting clients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
• No prior experience required
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed in some states)
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
• Operate radio or telephone equipment and monitor consoles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact cordially with the public
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions
• Sound alarms or contact authorities in emergencies
• Warn violators of rules and ensure compliant behavior
• Permit entry and monitor entrances/exits
• Protect company property and ensure proper removal of items
• Investigate and report accidents/incidents
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors politely
• Make emergency notifications as needed
