Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex - unarmed in City of Industry, California. You will use our shift-pickup platform to select open shifts that fit your availability while protecting client sites across healthcare, education, and finance sectors.

Payrate is $19.50 per hour with flexible shifts and opportunities for growth in a dynamic, welcoming environment. Excellent benefits and career advancement await the right candidate who can work irregular hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if armed in some states).
• Ability to operate radio/telephone equipment and interact with the public.
• Excellent written and oral communication; active listening and problem solving.
• Flexible to work irregular shifts with little advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department if needed.
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal of items.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aide customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
