Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Wait Staff Tipped at NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY - 38492023. You will provide friendly, attentive service and help guests enjoy made-to-order entrées, desserts, and beverages from our menu.

Prior experience is welcome but not required; we value a positive attitude and reliable attendance. You will greet guests, take orders, explain specials, accommodate allergies, and work with a friendly team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year related experience.
• If applicable, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local regulations.
• May require valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS/TEAM) and compliance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and highlight specials.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine; address allergies and prep details.
• Accurately take and relay orders; ensure correct sequencing and timely service.
• Check items for quality, attractive presentation, and consistency.
• Monitor guest needs and address concerns professionally.
• Perform duties requiring mobility and standing for extended periods.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by account requirements.
