Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Flex Variable Shift Patrol in Flowood, MS. You will perform patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents while working irregular shifts and picking up shifts through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

This role offers 30–40 hours per week with diverse sites and growth opportunities; two years of security experience and a HS diploma are required, plus the ability to pass

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience required.
• Available for varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel required distances.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized entry and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
