Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Variable Shift Patrol in Flowood, MS. The role offers 30-40 hours weekly with shifts that vary and a pay rate of $15.33 per hour. You will patrol sites, respond to incidents, and support client needs while gaining diverse site experience and growth opportunities.

This position requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work irregular shifts with little advance notice as part of a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or prohibited articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal per client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs as required.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
