Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Elkhorn, WI is seeking a Resident Assistant with flexible scheduling to provide daily personal care in local assisted living facilities, memory care units, skilled nursing facilities, and hospitals.

You choose when and where to work, with opportunities for contract, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire placements. This role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) is required.
• Compliance training to work in long-term care and assisted living is required (can be provided by Interim).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and support patients safely.
• Good communication skills and a dependable, compassionate nature.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support patients with feeding and nutritional intake.
• Perform light tasks related to ambulation, repositioning, and safety.
• Take vitals, monitor basic health indicators, and report changes in condition.
• Work as part of a care team that may include RNs, LPNs, physicians, and other aides.
• Observe patients and notify appropriate staff of any care or behavioral concerns.
