Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem flex staff to provide high-quality patient care at Elmira, NY. You will assess patients, plan and deliver nursing care, educate families, and document thoroughly in accordance with standards and regulations.

The role requires current NYS nursing licensure or eligibility, and BLS/ACLS certification or availability within 30 days of hire. Prior behavior health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current NYS nursing licensure or eligible.
• BLS & ACLS Required or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and collect ongoing physiological, psychological, and cognitive data to develop individualized nursing diagnoses and care plans.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate patient-centered plans of care based on identified needs, expected outcomes, and clinical priorities.
• Deliver skilled, safe, and compassionate nursing care while ensuring continuity of care and adherence to established standards and protocols.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, health conditions, and self-care needs to support positive health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and concise patient documentation in compliance with organizational, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond effectively to emergencies by coordinating care and communicating with appropriate personnel and documenting events.
