Job summary

GJELINA NY is seeking a Dishwasher to wash all dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment, and help maintain clean, organized prep and dish areas in a fast-paced restaurant environment in New York. • 1+ years of experience as a dishwasher preferred.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekend shifts, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas.
• Maintain high standards of appearance and hygiene; wear non-slip shoes.
• Set up dish sink and sanitizer per health department specs.
• Monitor dishwashing machine and adjust water and soap.
• Inform chefs when supplies are low and when equipment is not working properly.
• Maintain/clean dish machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Stock lines with necessary utensils and dishes.
• Assist in kitchen cleaning and equipment upkeep.
• Proper garbage disposal and recycling practices.
