Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator to join its dock team in the United States. The role involves sorting, handling, loading and unloading freight on a day-to-day basis using forklift and pallet jack equipment.

The position includes an afternoon shift and requires attention to safety policies and efficient, accurate scanning of shipments. Qualified candidates should be able to perform basic math, be comfortable with long shifts (up to 12-14 hours) and weekend/holiday hours, and have prior

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
Willing to work a flexible schedule that’s up to 12-14 hours a day, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.
